Terms of Service
Last updated: 13 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Þorsteinn Emilsson, Postbox Kaplakriki, Iceland ("MINNGR", "we", "us"), about your use of MINNGR: the app, the web app at app.minngr.com and the sharing pages at minngr.com. By creating an account or using MINNGR you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
1. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old.
- Give us a real email address that you can read, and keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us if you think someone else has access to your account.
2. A beta service
MINNGR is in an early, closed beta. That means:
- Things may change, break or be unavailable, and features may be added, changed or removed.
- We do not keep separate backups of your content. Please keep your own copies of photos and anything else you cannot replace. You can download your data from the web app at any time.
- We may reset or remove beta accounts and data when the beta ends, with reasonable notice.
3. Your content
- You own what you upload and what you write. We do not.
- You give us permission to store, process and display it for the sole purpose of running MINNGR for you, including showing it to the people you share it with.
- You promise you have the right to upload it, including photos of other people and any places or people shown in them.
- We do not use your content for advertising and we do not sell it.
4. Sharing
When you share a memory, anyone with its link or NFC tag can see it. You are responsible for what you share and with whom. You can stop sharing, or make a new link, whenever you want. Once someone has seen or saved a photo, we cannot take it back from them.
5. What you may not do
Do not use MINNGR to:
- store or share anything unlawful, or content that exploits or endangers children;
- infringe other people's rights, privacy or intellectual property;
- harass, threaten or deceive anyone;
- attack, overload, scrape or reverse engineer the service, or try to reach other people's data;
- use it to send spam or for commercial resale of the service.
We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules, and we will tell you why when we can.
6. Storage limits
Each account has a storage allowance, currently 200 MB during the beta, and a limit on the size of a single file. The Storage page in the app shows what you use. We may change the allowance; if we reduce it below what you already use, we will give you notice and time to act. Once your allowance is full you can still view, share, download and delete, but you cannot add more.
7. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings, then Delete account). Your memories, photos, videos and links are removed and cannot be recovered. We may also close an account that is unused for a long time or that breaks these terms.
8. Reporting a problem or content
If you think content on MINNGR infringes your rights or is unlawful, write to hello@minngr.com with the link and what is wrong. We will look at it promptly.
9. No guarantees, and our responsibility
MINNGR is provided "as is" while it is in beta. We work hard to keep it running and your data safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available, error-free or that data will never be lost.
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profit or lost data you did not back up. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, you keep all the rights the law gives you.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it applies. If you keep using MINNGR after that, you accept the new terms. If you do not, you can delete your account.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Icelandic law. If we cannot settle a dispute between us, it goes to the courts there. If you are a consumer, this does not take away any protection that the law of the country where you live gives you.
